Isakson Receives "True Blue" Award from Family Research Council and CitizenLink for Unwavering Support of the Family

WASHINGTON – U.S. Senator Johnny Isakson, R-Ga., has been recognized as a "True Blue" Member of Congress by Family Research Council Action and CitizenLink for his unwavering commitment and consistent support in defense of the family.

Isakson has received this award for his pro-life, pro-family voting record since arriving in the Senate in 2005 for the 109th and 110th Congress.

"I am pleased to accept this award on behalf of the majority of Georgia's families who share these important values," Isakson said.

The award honors Members of Congress who have exhibited extraordinary leadership and commitment to the defense of family, faith, and freedom, according to the scorecard produced by FRCAction and CitizenLink that covers the votes of the 111th Congress. Recipients of the "True Blue" Award voted consistently in defense of pro-life and pro-family issues.

"Members of the 111th Congress who receive this award have shown themselves to be consistent defenders of faith, family and freedom," said FRCAction President Tony Perkins.
