Isakson Votes to Ensure No Income Tax Increase for Two Years

WASHINGTON – U.S. Senator Johnny Isakson, R-Ga., today voted in favor of a tax package that will ensure that income tax rates will not increase for America's families and small businesses for the next two years. The tax package cleared a procedural hurdle in the Senate Monday and a vote on final passage was expected Tuesday.

"With this vote, the Senate has finally sent a positive signal to American taxpayers that their income taxes are not going up for at least two more years. I believe this will stimulate the economy by bringing some much-needed certainty to our families and small businesses," Isakson said.
