Isakson Statement on Passing of Former Sen. Ted Stevens

WASHINGTON – U.S. Senator Johnny Isakson, R-Ga., today released the following statement concerning the passing of former Sen. Ted Stevens:

"I deeply regret the loss of a great American and Alaska's first citizen, Ted Stevens. Ted fought for his country in World War II, led Alaska to statehood and served her with distinction for many years in the U.S. Senate. I extend my sympathies to his family and loved ones."
