Isakson Denounces Statement by Iranian President on Holocaust
Co-Sponsors Resolution Condemning Remarks

WASHINGTON – U.S. Senator Johnny Isakson (R-Ga.) today released the following statement condemning remarks by Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad denying the Holocaust. On Friday the Senate passed a resolution denouncing his harmful, destructive and anti-Semitic statements. Isakson was a co-sponsor of the resolution.

“The statement by Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad declaring the Holocaust a myth was outrageous and reprehensible. I will always stand for truth to be known and falsehood to be condemned, and I was proud to co-sponsor today’s resolution denouncing his remarks.”
